If you are like me you will have all the best intentions to plan your holiday packing well in advance and then a few days before you are due to fly you realise that you are missing some key essentials.
Quick check – have you packed these 5 essential items in your holiday first aid kit:
- Sun screen – seems obvious but if you’re like me it’s on your list to pick up at the airport or when you arrive at the resort, however, by the time I’ve enjoyed my first cocktail at the hotel I’ve already had a lot of sun exposure, plus it can be very expensive!
- Bite & Sting cream – pesky insect bites can ruin a goodnight’s sleep, so I don’t go on holiday without it!
- Antihistamine tablets – I don’t leave home without these EVER, I suffer from hay fever so they’re an everyday essential but on holiday they’re also great for general allergy, plus bite and sting relief.
- Heartburn and indigestion relief – over indulgence (particularly after a pre-holiday diet and detox) is my downfall and often leads to a night of discomfort… don’t get caught out like me!
- Diarrhoea relief tablets – I try and avoid these, but if you’ve booked an excursion or you’re flying home they’re absolutely essential!
