There’s no doubt that the travel industry is facing some challenges as we look ahead to 2026. Several of the major holiday companies have reported profit warnings due to a drop in sales.
Interestingly, that uncertainty is creating some fantastic opportunities for those who are ready to book. Hotels and airlines still need to fill rooms and seats, which means there are some exceptional offers available for 2026, particularly for families. You can read more about this here.
Despite the wider industry reporting slower sales, we’re delighted to be seeing the opposite. Our bookings are currently more than 10% ahead of where they were this time last year.

Yesterday was a perfect reminder of why I love what I do. Even on a Sunday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely family back into the office after their recent trip to Japan.
They didn’t have to come in. They simply wanted to share their experiences, tell me about their favourite moments and pass on a few tips for future travellers.Listening to them talk about the energy of Tokyo, the beauty of the temples, the incredible food and the warmth of the Japanese people brought their holiday back to life all over again.
Those Conversations are Priceless
Travel is about so much more than flights and hotels. It’s about experiences, memories and moments that stay with us long after we’ve returned home.
The family also brought us back a wonderful gift from Japan: mochi. If you’ve never tried it, mochi is a traditional Japanese rice cake made from glutinous rice, creating a wonderfully soft and chewy texture. It’s deeply woven into Japanese culture and is often associated with good fortune, prosperity and celebration.
Giving mochi as a gift is considered a thoughtful gesture of appreciation and good wishes, so we were genuinely touched that they thought of us while they were away.
Moments like that remind me that what we do is about relationships as much as travel.
It’s about getting to know our clients, understanding what’s important to them and helping them create experiences they’ll treasure forever.
