If you’ve been following my journey over the past seven years, you’ll know that my business has grown and evolved in ways I could never have imagined.
The Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert brand really found its feet during the pandemic. As travel came to a standstill, I spent hours every day helping people make sense of changing travel restrictions, entry requirements, cancelled holidays and refund rules. Much of that advice was given freely because, at the time, people simply needed someone they could trust.
The response was incredible. My audience grew, more people discovered the business, existing clients recommended me to their friends and family, and what started as one person’s expertise gradually evolved into something much bigger.
The Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert logo has proudly represented my personal brand ever since, but behind it has always been Your Holiday Concierge, our official company name since we incorporated in January 2019.
As our team continues to grow, it feels like the natural time to bring Your Holiday Concierge to the forefront. It reflects not just me, but the exceptional people who make this business what it is.
The values that have always mattered to me remain exactly the same: honest advice, exceptional personal service and taking the time to truly understand every client. The difference is that those values are now shared by our small team, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’re building together.
One of the best decisions I ever made was welcoming Stephanie to the business more than four years ago. Many of you already know her as the friendly voice on the end of the phone or the person making sure every detail of your holiday runs smoothly. Around the office she’s affectionately known as our Admin Whizz, but the reality is that her role has grown far beyond administration.
As we move into this exciting new chapter, Stephanie will become our Head of Concierge, a title that better reflects the care, organisation and personal service she provides to both our clients and the rest of the team every single day. I honestly couldn’t imagine running the business without her.
I’m also delighted to share that we’ll be welcoming another experienced travel consultant to the business on Monday 17 August. She brings a wealth of experience, a genuine passion for travel and shares the same commitment to looking after clients that has always been at the heart of our business.
Out of respect for her current employer and the clients she’ll be handing over, we’ll introduce her properly once she has officially joined us, but I promise she’ll be well worth the wait.
All of this makes it feel like the perfect time to move forward as Your Holiday Concierge. The name has always been there, but now it truly represents the business we’ve become: a team of experienced travel professionals, each dedicated to delivering the personal service, expert advice and attention to detail that our clients know and trust.
I’d Love You to Celebrate With Us
To celebrate this exciting new chapter, we’re opening the doors to our Brewood office on Friday 11 September (6pm to 9pm) for a special evening.
It will be an opportunity to meet our newest team member, celebrate Stephanie’s new role as Head of Concierge, see our new look for the first time and enjoy a relaxed evening with the people who have supported us along the way.
More than anything, it’s my chance to say thank you.
Whether you’ve booked one holiday with us or twenty, recommended us to your friends and family, or simply followed my journey over the years, you’ve helped shape the business we are today. I never take that support for granted.
