We’re thrilled to announce that Experience Travel Group (ETG) is now the exclusive travel sponsor for The Pink Ribbon Electric Crusaders! ETG’s passion for responsible travel perfectly complements our mission.
The Pink Ribbon Electric Crusaders, comprising of Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert, Stephanie Minton, Phil Bachelor, and Brian Bachelor from E-Van Guru, have been welcomed into The Travel Trade Crusade’s challenging 1500-mile drive through six European countries. They are the first team ever to attempt this adventure in an electric vehicle. The team aims to raise over £2500 for Breast Cancer Now through fundraising and sponsorship efforts, whilst promoting sustainable travel and showcasing the benefits of electric vehicles. Led by Gilly Bachelor, they will drive through France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, discovering breathtaking landscapes and hidden European treasures whilst competing in fun challenges for their chosen charity.
Midlands Truck and Van has generously supplied the team with a Mercedes eVito Tourer for the journey. The team expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Van Sales Director, Alex Hillman, for lending them this fabulous piece of electric kit. Their friend, James Brinkler, has also provided design support, creating their fabulous joint challenge logo.
Breast Cancer Now is the chosen charity of The Pink Ribbon Electric Crusaders. The team aims to raise funds to increase breast screening uptake, grow the number of breast cancer clinical nurse specialists, and support people to get back to work after a breast cancer diagnosis. This cause is particularly close to Stephanie’s heart, as the charity provided meaningful support to her sister, Jennifer Dawson, who lost her battle with breast cancer last year at just 32 years of age, 12 years after losing her mother to the same disease.
Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert and E-Van Guru will cover all the costs associated with the challenge, including the entry fee, accommodation, charging, insurance, and food. All sponsorship money raised by the team will be donated to their dedicated charity.
