On 28th March 2026, we’re hosting a Travel Open Day designed specifically for school and college leavers who want to explore real career opportunities in a dynamic, global industry.
This is your chance to step inside an award-winning, multi-million-pound travel business and see how it operates day to day. You’ll meet the team, understand the different roles within the company, and learn how you can build a successful career in travel without necessarily following the traditional university route.
Travel today is about far more than booking holidays. It’s sales, marketing, social media, branding, customer experience, operations, partnerships and entrepreneurship. It’s about building relationships, understanding destinations worldwide and delivering exceptional service.
During the open day, you will:

A key highlight of the day will be hearing from Gilly Bachelor, who built an award-winning, multi-million-pound travel business in just seven years. Gilly will share how she started, how she scaled the business, the challenges she faced and the lessons she learned along the way.
Importantly, she’ll also talk about the wide range of careers available across the travel industry, not just within a travel agency. From tour operations and cruise lines to airlines, hotels, destination marketing, luxury concierge services and global partnerships, travel offers diverse pathways for different skills and ambitions.
