Planned by Genuine Lapland Experts
A trip to Lapland to meet Santa isn’t just a holiday — it’s the Christmas memory your family will treasure forever. And when something is this special, you want it planned by someone who truly knows Lapland inside out.
At Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert, we’re not just booking trips — we’re crafting fully personalised Lapland adventures. We’ve stayed in the resorts, met Santa in his secret cabin, ridden with the huskies and zoomed across the snow on snowmobiles. We know what’s magical, what’s practical, and which experience is right for your family.
We work with every leading Lapland specialist — including Inghams, Santa’s Lapland, TUI Lapland, Canterbury Travel, Newmarket Holidays and Transun — and we can tailor-make completely bespoke Lapland breaks too.
No single-supplier bias. Just honest, experience-driven advice.
What We Help You Choose
Every family is different — so there’s no “one size fits all” Lapland holiday. We’ll guide you through the best options for your family’s ages, budget and expectations:
- Day trips to meet Santa – short, magical and surprisingly good value
- 2, 3 & 4-night Lapland family adventures – with husky rides, reindeer safaris and private Santa visits
- Luxury cabins, glass igloos & Northern Lights retreats
- Tailor-made itineraries including snowmobile tours, skiing and Arctic experiences.
Our goal? To make every moment as magical as you imagine.

How We Build Your Perfect Lapland Trip
When we start planning with you, we’ll ask a few key questions to make sure we find your perfect match:
- What’s your budget? Lapland isn’t cheap, so it’s important we recommend the best options for your price range — without showing you something wonderful that ends up out of reach.
- How old are the children? Your children’s ages make a huge difference to the ideal itinerary. From short gentle experiences to full on snow safaris!
- How long would you like to go for? 1-day trips: excellent if you’re short on time. 2 nights: our minimum recommendation, and 3 or 4 nights: the perfect balance of activities, downtime and magic
- When would you like to travel? The Santa season runs late November to Christmas week. Late November = better availability & better prices and closer to Christmas = premium pricing and sells out fast.
- What style of accommodation suits you? Log cabins – great for bigger families; cosy, private, but often a walk from the main hotel. Hotels – convenient, warm, ideal with very young children. Remote wilderness lodges – best for Northern Lights. Village locations – best for amenities.
- Where do you want to fly from? Most Lapland holidays use regional charter flights (e.g. Manchester, Gatwick, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands). They only operate on set days — so your preferred airport may shape your itinerary.
